Milan joined Axis in 2018 to take on the role in the Sydney office.

Milan’s industry experience in project and contract management/administration spans the last 15 years and has held many senior management positions engaged on large  top tier projects in Sydney and Queensland.

Milan has developed strong relationships with leading building/services contractors, developers and consultants within the construction industry.

Jason Wagg

Jason joined the Axis Group in 2013 as the Group Commercial Manager and an Executive Board Member.

Jason has over 20 years experience in the Building Services Industry.

He began his career in 1992 as a Civil Engineer working for a Canberra, ACT based civil/building contractor.

He has owned and operated his own business and has held Senior Management Positions within a Global USA Incorporated Mechanical Manufacturing/Services Company and prior to joining the Axis Group held the position of Managing Director – Africa.

Peter Howcroft

Peter joined AMS in August 2016 to take up the BDM role after management’s decision to expand the growing business. Peter works out of the Brisbane and Gold Coast offices in QLD. Peter has 28 years experience within the trades services industry predominantly HVAC and prior to joining AMS, spent 10 years in a sales capacity and 10 years at management level with various prominent HVAC organisations.

George Millas

George has recently joined Axis Maintenance Services and has been appointed Service Manager for our NSW branch. He has previously worked with H2O and Mr Water in Sydney, and has taken up the challenge with AMS heading up our service team in NSW.

With a strong trade background in plumbing, George’s experience is reflective of an extensive history of facilitating strong business relationships based on trust and excellent service delivery. He has a sound business acumen with strong influencing & communication skills and is committed to delivering and maintaining the highest level of customer service.

James Burris

James Burris

James joined Axis in 2018 to take on the role in the Melbourne office. James has around 30 years’ experience within the hydraulics industry, with 10 years in project and service management roles in SA and QLD.

Jon Bennett

Ex firefighter, been involved in the plumbing and maintenance industry for around forty years, both in Canberra and Queensland.

Jon came across from construction in early October 2018 to the ACT State Manager role.

South Coast Correctional Centre

The South Coast Correctional Centre at Nowra has been selected for expansion as part of the NSW Government’s $3.8 billion Prison Bed Capacity Program.

The expansion will see the following additions and alterations:

  • 160 maximum-security beds;
  • 200 minimum-security beds;
  • Conversion of an existing 200 minimum-security beds to medium-security;
  • Refurbishment and extensions to existing buildings, including visits area, clinic, AVL suites, car park and reception area; and
  • New industries building, High Intensity Program Unit (HIPU) and staff amenities building.

Scope of Work:

Hydraulic Services: In ground Sanitary Drainage, Trade Waste and Storm Water System. Elevated Sanitary, Trade Waste and Storm Water System. Potable, Non- potable, Hot and Warm Water System, Gas System, Fit off and testing and Commissioning. Axis Plumbing ACT was engaged to undertake and deliver the Design and Construction of the project.

ANU Union Court Redevelopment

The revitalisation of Union Court and University Avenue stage 1 will combine the best elements of existing campus life and bring a new learning, cultural, physical and social experience to us in a village setting. The revitalised precinct will feature:

  • State-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities
  • Environmentally-sustainable student accommodation
  • New health and recreational facilities, including a 25-metre pool
  • An events centre with large and small auditoriums, a new cinema for the ANU Film Club and a student theatre
  • Food, café, bar and retail services with extended hours
  • A centralised student services hub and building for student groups and societies, and

Scope of Work:

Mechanical Services: Axis Plumbing has been engaged to supply the HHW and CCW services for the Mechanical Package. Including in ground ISNA pipe works. All works to be completed in a six-month program.

University of Canberra Public Hospital

The University of Canberra Hospital: Specialist Centre for Rehabilitation, Recovery and Research will be Canberra’s first, purpose-built rehabilitation hospital. Axis Plumbing ACT delivered Hydraulic services for the new 215 bed University of Canberra Public Hospital on time and to budget.

  • 140 in-patient beds (comprising 20 mental health beds and 120 rehabilitation beds)
  • 75-day beds (comprising 25 mental health beds, 25 rehabilitation beds and 25 aged care beds)

310 Anne st project consisted of a full refurbishment of the existing18 levels of office space, with new amenities and future fitout capabilities for all levels.

FV Flatiron

FV Flatiron is residential icon in the heart of fortitude Valley Brisbane. The development includes a total of 651 units over 2 uniquely designed towers. Its facilities include 3 pools, cinema ,Gym Yoga studio, casual dining and bar areas.

Star Sovereign Resort – The Star

Star City, home to one of Sydney’s most well-known casinos, also plays host to restaurants, bars, spas, clubs and a luxurious five-star hotel. The expansion and construction of the Star City Casino aims to improve the aesthetics of the building and enhance the experience of visitors.

Campbell’s Store Redevelopment – The Rocks

Campbell’s Store, located at the Rocks, is a historical site which is being restored to attract visitors. Situated on the Harbor, Campbell’s Store will transform into a shopping precinct with restaurants, cafes and bars. Axis Services will complete the Hydraulic Services for all levels of the Campbell’s Store, with the expected completion date of the overall project being in 2018.

Aveo Gasworks

Aveo is an aged facility consisting of

  • 99 bed fully assisted aged care over 2 levels

  • 142 independent living apartments over 9 levels.

West Connex M4 East

The M4 Motorway, connecting the Western Suburbs to the surrounding city suburbs, is currently underway, extending the tunnels between Homebush, Concord and Haberfield. The extension will create more space on the motorway and make travel more efficient for those who have previously used this motorway, as well as for those who continue to use it. With 6.5km of underground and above ground work, the project is expected to reach completion in 2020.

Adina Hotel

 

The Adina apartment Hotel is a refurbishment of an old existing heritage listed building. previously a bank : in the heart of Brisbane city.

This project entailed a full refurbishment of the existing 10 levels and an addition of another 4 new levels to total 220 studio and apartment rooms, Indoor Pool, Gymnasium. Restaurants and Bars.

Ben Lovett

Commercial Director – Axis UK

Ben joined Axis in April 2018 and has been instrumental in the reorganization of the new management structure. An experienced Commercial Manager with leadership and management skills that have been developed throughout a career that has encompassed all aspects of the construction industry having worked in both the Main Contractor and Sub-Contractor domains. Ben has a vast experience in varying forms of Contract and has delivered significant engineering projects in both the UK and Europe.

Andy Barnes

Operations Director – Axis UK

Andy Joined Axis 3 years ago and has over 30 years experience in the Building Services industry and has a vast knowledge of contracting across a variety of sectors. In recent years Andy has delivered some of London’s most prestigious residential schemes. Andy initially took up a role in Business development and Estimating but got more involved in the Operations as he won projects. He is now looking to focus more on the Business development & Estimating along with client liaison.

Greg Napper

Hydraulic Services Leader and MEP Design Manager

Greg has a proven track record in Project and Design Management on large scale public and private sector infrastructure projects.

Greg has engaged in all aspects of hydraulic services design from feasibility, project definition phase, schematic design, and design development to construction documentation, Site phase inspections and reporting. Greg attends all user group meetings and undertakes all liaison with public health authorities and utility providers

Over his career Greg developed significant experience in project planning, documentation and delivery of inground and above ground infrastructure services working across all sectors including mining, commercial buildings, correctional centres, healthcare and residential markets.

Greg has operated within both EPCM and Managing Contractor delivery models including Procurement and Construction & Management services to major Capital Projects.

Greg applies a collaborative approach to problem solving to assist in developing delivery solutions to complex environmental and engineering challenges. Greg is adept at understanding and managing supply authority requirements to successfully influence negotiations at both project and external stakeholder levels.

Guy Vincent

Operations Manager – Axis Plumbing Services WA

Guy joined the Axis Plumbing NSW team in 2006 where he was elevated from tradesman to Supervisor on the Small Works team where he completed numerous projects.
In 2010 Guy relocated to Axis Plumbing WA where he continued as a Supervisor. He was promoted in 2011 to Project Manager for the Hydraulics sector for the Central Energy Plant at Fiona Stanley Hospital.
In 2015, Guy accepted the position of Construction/ Operations Manager of Axis Plumbing Services WA. He has 22 years experience within the construction industry of NSW and WA.

Paul Crossing

National Operations Manager – Axis Maintenance Services

Paul has over 30 years of management experience across a wide range of building services applications. During this time he has worked with a number of leading Global and locally recognised market leading brands in both construction and end user service markets.

Paul’s roles have extended across Sales, Installation and Service functions where his management responsibilities have included all aspects of organisational Operations, Administrative, Financial and Client deliverables. Paul has a particular emphasis on service delivery and client management with specific expertise on performance based service delivery contracts and operational process improvement.

David Golack

National Manager – Axis Maintenance Services

David started his career in the construction industry as an apprentice plumber in 1997 before moving into the professional services sector in 2002. In 2003 he undertook a construction project management role before joining Axis Plumbing in 2006 as the ACT General Manager. Since this time, David was also involved in the set up of the Victoria branch before moving into his new role to head up the Maintenance and Services division.

During his 17 year career, David has overseen the delivery of major projects and has been involved in the set up and growth of several business units within the Axis Plumbing Group. He holds a Plumbing Trade Certificate / Licence and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Canberra.

Inpex, Ichthys Onshore LNG Facilities Project – TMP-1 (D&C)

Axis Plumbing NT on behalf of Leighton Contractors undertook the Design and construct of the TMP-1 Project.
This included:

Sewer Rising Mains:
Supply & installation of big bore HDPE throughout the site with 14 Pump Stations connecting to the WWTP.

Sewer Outfall:
Supply & installation of 160mm HDPE PN20 in ground from the WWTP. Once it reaches the shoreline the pipe work is supported on specially design concrete anchor blokes to cater for the climate. This then dischargers into the Harbour (600mtrs offshore) through specially designed diffuser system.

Domestic water:
Supply & installation of small to big bore HDPE throughout the site. All relevant valves, tanks with Altitude valves, Containerized UV & VSD pumps.

Fire Service.
Supply & installation of big bore HDPE PN20 throughout the Contractors area & the warehouse. Including Hydrants & FHR, Fire storage tanks, and Containerized Electric/Diesel fire pumps.

Sanitary Sewer:
Supply & installation of sanitary stacks to all ablution/contractors areas around site.

Patrick O’Brien

Group Estimating Manager

Patrick joined the Axis Group in 2008 as the Group Estimating Manager.

Patrick is involved in all large scale tenders & interacts with the senior management group as well as Regional General and Project Managers.

Patrick started his career in the construction industry as an apprentice plumber in 1989. Patrick is a licensed plumber Drainer and Gas Fitter. During his 26 year career, Patrick has been involved in all aspects of the plumbing & construction industry, he has held positions from plumber to project manager to general manager and is able to utilise all of this experience in his current role as Group Estimating Manager.

Michelle Stanford

Group HR Manager

Michelle joined the Axis Group in 2007 as the Group HR Manager.

Michelle has over 14 years experience in Human Resource Management including payroll and workers compensation.  Michelle actively works with our Group EHS Manager as the Return to Work Coordinator in NSW.

Martin Reed

Martin joined the Axis Group in 2014 as the Australian Business Development Manager.

Martin has 35 years experience in the Building Services Industry.

He began his career as a Technical Apprentice with Swiss Engineering Company, Sulzer Bros UK Ltd, based in London.

He has held Senior Management roles with Several Multi National / Multi disciplined companies covering a wide range of construction Industry sectors.

In 2018 Martin was appointed General Manager – WA and currently holds this position

James Stavroulakis

Group Finance Manager/Executive Board Member

James joined the Axis Group in 2009 as the Group Finance Manager and an Executive Board Member.

James is responsible for the accounting and finance functions for the Axis Group. He is a qualified CPA and has over 20 years financial experience and held a number of Finance Management roles before joining the Axis Group.

George Spyropoulos

Group General Manager

George joined the Axis Group in 1996, beginning a strong business association with Clem Morfuni and this proved to be the nucleus from which the business has been able to expand and grow throughout Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, London – UK and New York City – USA.

George has over 20 years experience in the Building Services Industry.

George started his career in the construction industry as an apprentice plumber in 1988. George is a Licensed Plumber Drainer and Gas Fitter. During his career he has been involved in all aspects of the plumbing & construction industry, he has held positions from Plumber to Project Manager to General Manager and is able to utilise all of this experience in his current role as Group General Manager.

Glenn Gregson

Director & General Manager – Axis Asia QS Thailand

Glenn started his career in 1989 and has had experience in all type of construction projects in all the varying roles of responsibility. He joined Axis Plumbing in 2000 and was transferred to be the Estimating Manager of the Group in 2001, a role he kept till late 2009. In 2009 Glenn moved to Thailand to set up an estimating & CAD work office supporting the various Axis Group offices in Australia, NZ and the UK and currently employs 14 people.
